Family HomeStead

Sixth Avenue participates with Family HomeStead, the only agency in the City of Denver that exists to provide independent housing and case management solely to homeless families with children.
At the start of the school year, Sixth Avenue collects school supplies. During the holidays, Sixth Avenue contributes gifts to a family from Family Homestead’s Adopt-A-Family program.
Food Drive

The Sixth Avenue United Church of Christ pools together extra sustenance to help those in need.
Sixth Avenue collects nonperishable foods on the first Sunday of every month for the Denver Inner City Parish food bank.
